Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 9, 2026  •  Last Updated: July 16, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Hak PDF, a premium study and learning application designed for students and professionals. This application is developed and managed by Mohammad Rhiyadh. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your data. This Privacy Policy outlines how our application collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Hak PDF mobile client.

By downloading, installing, or using Hak PDF, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. Information Collection and Usage

Our primary design principle is user privacy, offline data ownership, and minimizing data collection. We do not request, collect, or store personal credentials such as full names, email addresses, usernames, or passwords. Below is a detailed breakdown of how we handle different types of data:

A. Device Authentication & Activation Codes

To unlock specific stages, subjects, or course contents in the app, users enter an Activation Code. During this process, the app generates and checks an anonymous, local Device Fingerprint (a unique ID generated using random numbers and timestamps stored in your local SharedPreferences).

No Identifiable Profiles: We do NOT ask for, collect, or store your email address, username, password, or contact details. The activation details and device fingerprints are only used to verify your device license status and prevent unauthorized license sharing.

B. PDF Files, Notes, and Annotations

Hak PDF is designed as a secure, local-first utility. Any textbooks, study documents, or PDF guides you load into the app remain stored locally on your device's memory. All drawing strokes, highlights, text notes, and annotations are saved inside a secure, local SQLite database in the application's private sandboxed directory.

Local Storage: We do NOT upload, copy, store, or transmit your PDF files, drawings, or handwriting strokes to external servers. They stay entirely under your control.

C. Audio Recordings (Microphone Access)

The application requests access to the device's microphone (via the RECORD_AUDIO permission).

Purpose: This permission is used exclusively to allow you to record audio comments, voice overlays, and dictation notes on your PDF documents.

Privacy: All recorded audio files are saved locally on your device's sandboxed storage. They are never uploaded to our servers, nor are they shared with third parties.

D. Third-Party Services (Analytics & Telemetry)

To maintain app stability, trace bugs, and monitor performance, the application integrates SDKs provided by Google Firebase. These services include:

  • Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymous stack trace logs and device crash details when the app encounters an error.
  • Firebase Analytics: Tracks anonymous usage telemetry (e.g. screen transitions, button clicks) to help us optimize the user interface.

These SDKs may collect generic device data (such as OS version, device model, and anonymous installation IDs) but do NOT collect any personally identifiable details, PDF contents, or drawings.

E. Advertisements (Google AdMob)

We display advertisements in the application using the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob).

Advertising ID: AdMob collects and processes the Google Advertising ID (Ad ID), IP address, and basic device telemetry. This identifier is used to serve relevant, personalized or non-personalized advertisements, track ad performance, and prevent fraud.

Opt-Out Options: You can opt out of personalized advertisements or reset your Advertising ID at any time via your device's system settings (Google -> Ads -> Opt out of Ads Personalization or Reset Advertising ID).

3. System Permissions Requested

To perform its core functions, Hak PDF may request the following system permissions on your mobile device:

You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device's system settings, though doing so may prevent certain features (such as microphone annotation or loading external documents) from functioning properly.

4. Data Deletion & License Management

We respect your control over your personal data and device licensing:

A. License Reset & Deletion (Google Play Compliance)

Since Hak PDF does not create or store user account credentials (email address, username, or password) on our servers, there are no user account profile databases to delete.

However, if you want to deactivate, unlink, or request the deletion of your device fingerprint or activation code record from our license database, you can do so by contacting us:

  • Send an email request to the developer at: mohrdh2005@gmail.com.
  • Please include "License/Device Reset Request" in the subject line, and provide your activation code.

Deactivation Timeline: Upon receiving your request, we will reset your activation record and remove the associated device fingerprint from our licensing database within 7 days.

B. Local Device Data Deletion

Since your PDF files and drawing annotations are stored on your local device storage, you can delete them instantly by:

  • Clearing the application's storage cache via your Android system settings.
  • Uninstalling the Hak PDF application. This will permanently wipe all local SQLite data, local drawings, and cached documents.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Hak PDF is designed as a productivity and educational tool for students, professionals, and general users. The application does not target children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child has provided us with any data, please contact us at mohrdh2005@gmail.com so we can take immediate corrective actions and delete their information.

6. Regulatory Compliance (GDPR & CCPA)

If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you are entitled to specific data protection rights. You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your device license data by contacting us. For local device data, you can exercise these rights directly on your device by modifying/deleting annotations or uninstalling the application.

7. Contact Us
